"We are not what we know but what we are willing to learn." - Mary Catherine Bateson

Last weekend we went to Gig Harbor. Love it there. Love these pictures of me and my boy. He is in the "don't take my picture" phase and most of the time I respect that, but he was mostly willing for his shadow to be photographed.

I got the sick (the cold one, no flu here yet). Hope everyone is staying well. Take care.

Chloe

Here she is. The elusive Chloe. Archer snuck in the room while she was sleeping w/ her sister Scout and snapped a picture. Good Archer. Now the set is complete. Grandma Lee's three cats. Maybe we will get a cutie picture of Sophie the wonder dog next!

The sisters taking a nap.

Hunting.

This one's for you Cheryl! Went on a "cat hunting" expedition this morning. This is what I came up with. Scout and Pepita. I was quite excited because Scout isn't the friendliest of cats and she came right out in the open and let me pet her and take her picture. No hiding, no hissing - unusual for her. I followed her around for a good 10 minutes just snapping away. I liked this one because of the stripes on the bed and her mottled fur.

And Pepita. She is the friendliest thing. Loves to sit on laps and cuddle. I only woke her up a little bit (insert devilish cackle here) to take her picture. Being all black and half asleep was a little difficult for a good picture. I think she was mad at me right here because she wanted me to sit and let her on my lap. Sorry Pepita, Cheryl needs some pictures.

There is one more. Chloe. She is an elusive cat, however in most instances much nicer to me than Scout. Go figure! She ran under the bed when the camera came out. I will try again later!

Gig Harbor Weekend

Lee has had some trees cut down in the yard, so Troy went out and did a little 'limb' weaving. He made this sphere and then they put it up on the tripod type stand. Archer spent Saturday helping Grandma feed limbs into the wood chipper. The sphere looks pretty good in the garden. The lighting wasn't great and I haven't 'played' with the photos, but these give a general idea. It will look great when the leaves fall off and it is just a twig ball. Looks nice.

Busy week.

From Lee's Garden.

This week is fairly busy for our family. So, I am going to try to post, but am not completely sure. I am working all week (takes a big bite out of bloggin' time). Troy has evening meetings (Lynde 500 here we come). Archer seems to fill his evenings with homework, friends, and activities. He has his first Youth Group on Thursday. Fun times!

This weekend we are off to Gig Harbor to visit Grandma, Grandpa, and of course there is a gun show in Puyallup. I have gone to ONE gunshow and saw A LOT of tanks on our trip, so I will NOT be going to the gun show. I will, however, get a Trader Joes trip in (one of my last before the Bellingham one opens - Yippee). Hopefully I will get to see John and Nick - not sure if they will be around, but I hope to at least stop in for a bit.Looking forward to seeing the changes that Lee and George have made to their garden, such as this new wall...
