"I am your hope,
I am your chance,
I am your child."
-Barry Manilow/Marty Panzer

I've been told that this blog needs a little more Archer (and a little less Mabel...poor Mabel. How about the same amount of Mabel and more Archer?) and that there is going to be a revolt of some sort if he isn't featured here soon.

Here it is Archer fans - an Archer update:

First of all let me tell you that high school is going great. He loves it. He likes his classes. He enjoys the football games and whole high school experience.

Archer decided to turn out for tennis this year.
So far he has only played doubles and hasn't shown an interest in singles at all. He is very laid back about the whole thing knowing that as a new player and freshman his job is to become a better player. He has switch partners several times - always willing to try something new.
So far he has played a half a dozen matches, won one, lost several, but always with a positive attitude and knowing he's played his best.

In other news Archer has continued going to his youth group - enjoying the new high school group (they are actually the inaugural group so they have a lot of input in the program); he spent every weekend during the month of September at the local FFA Corn Maze (mostly hanging out, but working a bit as well); he's thinking of cutting his hair (sad mom face - I love the curls); and I am trying to convince him to go to a homecoming (with a friend at another school).

If you'd like to know anything else about Archer please just leave it in the comments and I will get back to you! :) (p.s. his favorite color is red, he is a texting machine, and he loves Shepherds Pie).

  1. How are Archer and Mabel getting along? Any sibling rivalry? Did he welcome her into the family with open arms or was there a period of hostility? Has she acted out toward him yet?

    That's all I've got.

I like Angie's questions ... I think there should be a public response to them ... I'm just saying!

  3. And, he cooks.

Does he still use the Magic Bullet to make smoothies, etc. or have you appropriated it for cocktails?

Erik's been pretending to grill, and Joel said that we'll have to have Archer teach E how to grill someday. :)
